  • What is Coffer?

    Coffer is a multi-currency account that lets you receive, send, save and invest money across borders — all from one app, built for how Africa moves money.

  • Do I need an account number to send money?

    No. Transfers between Coffer users go to a Coffer ID — a handle like @ada — so there are no account numbers or bank details to copy. Coffer-to-Coffer transfers are instant and free, and fees on everything else are shown before you confirm.

  • How does Locker savings work?

    Locker is the umbrella for three savings products. Self-Lock is solo, time-locked saving for discipline. Goal-Lock saves toward a named target and date with automatic debits. Cabal is a group pool you run with friends, family or your community. All three accrue interest daily, and you can top up before maturity.

  • What interest do savings earn?

    Up to 12% per annum on Locker savings. Interest accrues daily and compounds monthly. The applied rate depends on the plan you choose and is set per product, so check the rate shown in the app before you lock.

  • What can I invest in?

    Assets listed in the app across four classes — real estate, agriculture, transportation and dollar instruments. You buy units rather than whole assets, and dividends and maturity arrive back in your wallet on the schedule each asset was listed with.

  • Which currencies can I hold?

    Every Coffer ID comes with two wallets: naira (NGN) and USDT. You can hold both, exchange between them in the app, and send or receive in either.

  • Is my money safe?

    Funds are held with regulated partners and kept segregated. Your account is protected by identity verification, a separate six-digit Transaction PIN for money actions, optional two-factor authentication, biometrics and device trust.

  • How do I get started?

    Sign up with your email and country, confirm the one-time code, and set up your profile. Then verify your identity, create your Transaction PIN and fund your wallet — you can save, send or invest from there.
